Who is Gabriela (Gaby) Sanchez?

Gaby’s journey began at age 2 with a diagnosis of anti-NMDAR encephalitis, which robbed her of basic speech, language, and motor skills.

Despite the challenges, Gaby underwent intensive speech, language, occupational, and physical therapies, experiencing firsthand their transformative power. This ignited her passion for the field.

After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2018, she worked as a speech-language pathologist assistant for four years before pursuing advanced studies at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, FL, in 2022.

Gaby’s journey from patient to practitioner reflects resilience, determination, and a commitment to learning. Driven by personal experiences, she is dedicated to helping others facing similar obstacles.

Her growth has been shaped by supportive mentors, peers, and those under her care, reinforcing her advocacy and empowerment in speech-language pathology.

In her profession, Gaby is honored to facilitate communication, independence, and enrichment in others' lives. With unwavering dedication, she strives to make a meaningful impact, one word, one sound, one breakthrough at a time.
